I know, I've tried, even with the industrial-strength utilities that can be found wandering around the more unsavory forums. No luck.
Had two, both 2Gig, gave them away. Then spent an hour scrubbing the crapware off my system. Now have PNY, not because I prefer them per se`, because they're available without pre-loaded junk. For less.
A note, if you still run Win 98SE, which one of mine does*, you have to find drivers for them. 98 doesn't know what to do with them. XP does.
*Ancient Gateway Laptop, SOLO 2500. No battery, runs off the power supply. You have to run what ya brung sometimes.
