Even bigger launcher?
The Falcon 9 Heavy can put almost 30 tons into a low latitude LEO. It uses two Falcon 9 first stages as side-boosters. Could a 4-booster configuration put ~ 50 tons into an LEO? I'm thinking if SpaceX wants to launch a loop-around-the-Moon mission then they'll orbit a modified Falcon 9 second-stage as a TLI stage. Then a Dragon will launch separately and dock with the TLI.
