Ever been hit by an arrow?

If someone is shooting arrows at you and your family, and you have a gun, would you think it unfair to use it? Would you go out of your way to obtain a bow and arrow to "keep it even?"
If you're fortunate enough to be someplace where there is police protection, would you insist that the police disarm and only use bows and arrows to deal with the attacker? Would they agree if you did?
