Einstein rejected the concept of simultaneity.

He claimed the idea of any two events taking place at the same time didn't make any sense. It has something to do with the frame of reference, the speed of light, and the fact that light is the only way we have of determining "when" something happens. I would think you could make allowances for this, knowing the speed of light and correcting for it, but apparently not.

I simply cannot wrap my head around this, any more than I can the Twin Paradox. Maybe some physics guy here can explain it to us.

This all sounds like hand-waving and navel-gazing, smoke and mirrors from the physicists, but they can make machines and predict events that are not interpretable by classical physics. They are on to something, and I'm afraid we've been left out.
