1. Bill Clinton.
Sure, he likes the spotlight but there is nothing at all that says he can't support his wife, share in her success and enjoy the hell out of it. She was there for him. Now he can be there for her. As far as overstepping, the situation should be watched carefully since he has no business inserting himself into foreign policy unless invited to do so by the Administration.

As far as their seating arrangements at the Prayer Service, how does the columnist know Bill and HIllary were not invited by President Obama to sit where they did? There also might have been security reasons for the seating. The columnist is making judgment based on facts not in evidence.

2. Joe Biden
Yep, Joe needs to zip his lip. He also has a bad habit of interrupting the President, at least he did BEFORE the inauguration. He has been rude and spotlight-grabbing. Pres. Obama has his work cut out for him in taming ole Joe and tame him he must, otherwise, Joe will try to BE President.

3. Fourth Estate
A matter of interpretation. His opinion is certainly valid. OTOH, the media has been caught up in the sweep of historical events and has done their own interpretation. That is also valid. Both are also true, all parts of unfolding history, something more easily seen as the events become more distant.
