The other evening, I had nothing but that website open, and I have good, up-to-date virus protection. I often disable the pop-up blocker when viewing BBSes, because it inhibits interaction.

The site and its cousins have many, many pop-up links to advertizing which just appear when one closes the main window. I discovered myself viewing a very explicit ad for a porno site. I'm a big girl, so I just closed it, but it would have been more upsetting if a child had been with me.

Most of the pop-ups are for more innocuous ads, but if I can get that, Lindy could get what she saw too. Not a redirection, but a, shall we say, suggestion to visit.
