re: Robert Crippen about the Shuttle
The article is so brief it is really only an assertation "The shuttle is more safe than people say".
I do not agree with this assertation. In fact, I suspect that the Shuttle is MORE dangerous than we suspect, because it is so complex and there are so many non-survivable outcomes from trivial occurrences.
Is his assertation stronger or better than mine? Perhaps, so. He has actually flown in space, and I clearly have not. But I don't think that the majority of space engineers agree with him...
