Americans are usually fair, reasonable people if they're given accurate information. Also, most people at some time or another realize that much of what we learned about the world before we are 10 years old isn't true.

The problem is a lack of information due to censorship of the US media and the reluctance of some people to re-evaluate the world as adults with additional information.
