It's a giant Mercury Slug :)
Seriously, it is an interesting feature. I first thought it was a basalt lava flow formed when that crater was formed. But then I saw it is not flat. It looks like a mountain…and irregular cinder cone?
I don’t think it is a shadow, by looking at the rest of the picture. The lighting looks almost straight overhead.
