The problem with designer genetics is that it introduces the same slippery slope and can lead to a completely decimated human species.

Try and breed longer lifespans and suddenly end up with people living to 25 years of age after some "screw up" in the genetic household is created that was entirely unforeseen. Each part of the code is part of a great equation each part of the code is keyed into an energy anatomy of waveforms the CREATE the code.

Screw with the code at the cellular level and you fail to change the wave forms that created the code. They will now be burdens on other parts of the code as this energy must be demodulated into the physical structures.

Give people the ability to change genetic codes at the cellular level and they feel they can replace natural evolution. That may work in a limited way on non-sentient structures that balance things out having to worry about a mind, but a whole different set of rules apply when their is an intelligent supporting field structure at work in the anatomical equation.

Create a dominant screw up in the code and watch as it breeds human beings with inferior and malformed bodies and slowly decimates what thousands of years of human evolution built.

Suddenly eugenics would become mandatory and people would need to be kept from reproducing for the sake of the survival humanity. Who wants to curse someone to remaining childless - for something they had absolutely no control over?

And let's face it, the designer genetic crowd would go out of control. First it would start with blue eyes and then yellow, purple and magenta. It never stops with natural options but grows into the unnatural - and there is ALWAYS a good reason why the body doesn't manifest in certain ways. Parents would want six foot tall boys and girls standing at 5'9" but eventually they would want boys who grow to 7 feet tall or taller. As always superiority would become a race and humanity would suffer in ways unfathomable to the first "innocent" human genetic code meddlers.

The freakshow would soon commence. A doctor would achieve in growing wings on a baby, another would succesfully modify the code to support four arms. Pets would be modified mercilessly. Want a griffin? How about a purple dog with a cats head? The reproductive tracts will be modified incessantly - if two testicles or ovaries are good, six would be better! Why not have both sets of organs at birth and be whatever gender you wish?

Yes, I've seen it all. I can't warn against it enough.

When you've been around the time/space block one sees these indiscretions in parallel streams. They are very real and in the truest sense their is no imagination. The outcomes of genetic tampering are always horrifying and the screw ups now linger in the energy fields. Horrendous new cancers and birth distortions are the payback for both those modified and those who do the modifying. The only way to true healing is to balance the sponsoring field. And for these folks that takes lifetimes of suffering and learning. Then they will not seek to modify anything and will learn to be content with what they have.

All healing is about balance. Genetic modifications all create imbalance.

The universe provides the wisdom to prevent these indiscretions and learning experiences. It's not necessary to be burned over 95 percent of your body to learn that you should not expose your body to fire - singing your finger should be more than enough. The timespace stream is filled with infinite amounts of data and wisdom for those who seek it out. One can learn from other parallel humanities mistakes.

When a species becomes intelligent enough to start genetic tampering, but is not intelligent enough to understand the way evolution truly works is a godawful time for most sentient species. Many are lucky to come through it in one piece.

Natural evolution is only truly augmented by modifications of thinking.

The anatomy shape and destiny is controlled by the mind.
