So, I have recently been pondering the question of how often we would choose to give up moments or even years of life to cut to the chase. It obviously implies a lack of courage in some instances but in some minor situations it would be just an avoidance of minor irritation. We all treasure our lives but there are times when we find ourselves twisting in the wind waiting for a highly anticipated event, such as whether or not we get the big job we have been angling for or waiting on a pleasurable event that makes time pass slowly. Sometimes the anticipated event is quite petty in the greater scheme of things, but still, the wait is palpable.

Would we use the power to fast forward and would it become habit forming and result in a subtantial loss of our time here. I am only positing the mentally sound for this fantasy ability since it would be an obvious disaster for the clinically depressed.

At my age, I would be very reluctant to use such a power under any circumstance and you would never really know what you might miss but it would be hard to resist at times even for me.

There was a fairly recent comedy movie on this subject which I recalled only after I started my ponder
