But what about for space?
I think what we're really hoping here is for a power system that will
work on a spacecraft, especially ones that will be going far from the
Sun some day.
Too bad antimatter is in such short supply, though apparently it exists
in relatively large amounts among the rings of Saturn. If we could
make enough of it, we could have starships reach 99% lightspeed.
Maybe we should refocus more on Orion. We know it can work and we
can built it in our lifetimes. We could get around the Sol system easy
enough with it at least.
