It's not like any of this information was a big secret when Obama was still backing these people 1000 percent. They spent days trying to paint this over as understandable "mistakes" and "sloppiness," and only developed "standards" when the public wasn't buying it.

Daschle had the bad luck to be the second guy with tax problems. The first one skated.
