What's the rush?
Those predictions in the 1970s were always known by anyone with
any space engineering knowledge to be wishful thinking at best in
regards to the Space Shuttle design they had.
Unless there is some really urgent reason to get the current mission
up there fast, they should take their time to get everything as right
and ready as possible. We don't need another Challenger.
