The Authorities have stopped releasing updates to the "body count", since this is being sensationalised.
Instead, they have released a figure of 1,800 homes destroyed.
The unofficial count is going to be well over 300 dead. Many horrific stories keep emerging, and everyone in this area knows someone who has lost family.
