Why would the search for life outside of Earth be threatening?

Great question, isn't it?

----

Honestly, I'm surprised that Raoul of all people on this board would bring this up. Afterall, that's the main purpose of space exploration and man/women living beyond is second (mho).
Surely, we've gained much from 'exploring' the question of life being beyond our planet.

That IS the question that drives us and the sides may be worlds like ours. Along the way, they HAVE and may will benefit us here in more ways than one.

There's more to Earth folks and in the mean time there IS such a thing as space weather.

Ahh, the regular space cadets and geeks know what I mean.
