Czarist Russia is defunct.
Nazi Germany is defunct.
Communist USSR is defunct.
A country that persecutes a minority ends up persecuting EVERYBODY who objects or complains about anything. Venezuela is moving in the same direction that got the Soviet Union where it is today -- total oblivion. In the not too distant future people will be asking, "Venezuela? What is that?"
