Different times. And done with borrowed money spent on arms even though there was no shooting war.
Obviously, the tax cuts did not work for Bush. Failed utterly. No matter how we try to head back to ancient history, the tax cuts sold to a gullible public as creating jobs, which were touted as creating jobs throughout the decade, only created more debt. And not jobs. But there were many posts claiming the tax cuts were creating jobs, lots of jobs.
Bush's was a failed presidency with a failed Conservative agenda. And there isn't any denying that outside of Conservative blogs. Drop reason at those portals. Live in a world where Reagan didn't negotiate with terrorists, didn't trade arms for hostages, didn't obtain those arms with money obtained from running drugs, didn't pardon his aides who committed treason.
