The recent posts by Conservatives accusing the Democrats of not wanting economic recovery to occur got me to thinking. Why would the Conservatives sabotage economic recovery and blame it on the Democrats. After all, a favorite tactic is to blame the Ds for what they are doing. When a Conservative talks, believe the opposite.

And then it became obvious. First, the Republicans are clearly largely responsible for the current economic chaos and the suffering of American families. There is the occasional Democrat marching along with 'em, but it's a Republican parade. Now that the Conservative constiuency has been bailed out, the rest of it is regarded as wasted money by them. The stuff for people.

So. In spite of Obama's having reached out to the Rs in an unprecedented manner, the Rs refuse to cooperate in recovery efforts, and accuse Obama of not being "bipartisan". (GWB is conveniently forgotten.)

The R's now sabotage the D effort to get out of the depression caused by Republican economic policies and blame the Ds. At least 30% of the people will believe this, the same 30% whose education, knowledge of current events, morality and discernment allow them to approve of GWB.

And if they can keep the country in enough of a mess, they may pick up a few 2010 votes.

And the American people? Screw 'em.

Seems callous, doesn't it.
