A key-logger spies on whoever uses the computer that the key-logger is installed on.

I assume you found the malware on your pc? So your son installed it on your pc because his gf was using your pc and he wanted to see what she was doing there?

Usually key-loggers are picked up accidently from web use and improper mail-handling, rather than deliberately installed.
