In my experience, almost never is there is a 100% solution.
Most "solutions" are simply a trading of problems. Clearly hybrids aren't going to live up to the hype, and will have problems of their own.
And, probably, in the long run those problems will be nicer ones to have.
Not all problems are created equal.
