SpaceX Manufactured Heat Shield Material Passes High Temperature Tests Simulating Reentry Heating Conditions of Dragon Spacecraft
No mention of being intended for lunar return, but delta V for Stardust is even higher than lunar return. Don't understand why the tests were only at the expected max T. Engineer's usually like to have a margin for error. Sounds like a great success in any event.
