I think with parenting, values and mores get watered down with each generation. Dicsipline is dampened or lost completely. Children having children make it worse.
For many, it's not easy to make it on one income and the parents just aren't around. It's be nice for every one to work a little less. For the kids that make it through these circumstances, we need better teachers, better cirriculum and common sense when dealing with behavior issues.
Our society might be in decline, but at least we have the rule of law.
