They're prosecuting them, tracking them hard. The public is outraged. A high up police official is getting hit with pressure to resign because he dropped the ball and decided not to pursue the hacking earlier.

There are at least a couple of people who have already been prosecuted for hacking into the Royals' cell phones. Then one of them messed with the then PM's medical records and printed them on his son. Stupid, really stupid.

The penalties on this should be so severe there and here and everywhere that it's too expensive for anyone to even dare to try it.

And Murdoch is under more and more pressure. It's almost like his empire is crashing down around him. His stock value has dropped considerably and the deal he was making doesn't look like it's going to fly anytime soon.
