Which is the most responsible? To fight a war by raising taxes and trying to pay for as much of it as possible, or to cut taxes on the super-wealthy while borrowing to fight an optional war?
We all know by now that the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy was nothing but pork for his constiuency. Didn't create a job. In fact, they are still in place and we're losing jobs at the fastest pace in recent history. 667,000 NEW filings for unemployment LAST WEEK. The human suffering behind those numbers is lost in the sheer magnitude of them.
And we all know that Bush's economic policies have been the prime driver of this countries current depression.
Conservatives accuse liberals of "tax and spend" policies. And of big government. Now Conservatives dearly love big government, but don't want the super-wealthy to pay for it. They are of the "borrow and spend" on bigger and bigger government ilk.
Obviously the liberal method is responsible, while the Conservative fiscal policies are simply living off the credit card. And if those tax cuts created jobs, there wouldn't be 667,000 NEW applications for unemployment last week.
Talk about the collapse of an economic system. Only Conservative hot air keeps it aloft.
