I spoketh too soon. The Cato Institute seems to be a bit more diverse than any of the other right-wing spin tanks. It seems to have a mission other than endorsing the current Conservative crop of candidates.
I have no idea where they would come down on Guantanamo, would have to flip a coin. Either as a necessary security precaution, more probably as an affront on human rights given the questionable origins of the inmates.
