Venus and the moon last night
Out walking ol' Turko, it was a beautifully clear, crisp night. Orion hung glittering to the south, and Ursa major poured it's contents to the horizon in the east. Then we came around a corner and the western sky was visible.
Wow. Literally breathtaking.
The thin, brilliant new moon cradled the old moon above, and danced an ethereal pas de deux with the goddess of the evening.
Turko has nice, long pauses in our ambles these days, to sniff and to just be, so I had a good chance to just stand and gaze at the beauty.
Tonight they will be even closer, but to weather has turned overcast so we won't be treated again.
