Good Post
We seem to be moving into a new paradigm, the era of the nation-state is gradually coming to a close, (after all, it is a relatively recent political invention, some date it back to the Treaty of Westphalia) and some new patterns based on corporate/economic or social/religious lines seem to be evolving. The traditional industrial army engaging its counterpart across the border seems to be an image we don't see much any more. We haven't even seen a formal declaration of war since the USSR declared war on Japan in 1945.
