Not got my copy yet - but it's always nice to do an article for TPS, ever since they let me have my slightly tongue in cheek 'In the dark at the red planet' title for the Rosetta Mars Flyby in Feb 2007 - which was a commentary not just on the spacecraft entering the shadow, but the fact that the press office at ESOC had no internet access whatsoever!
"Bootleg Postcards" was the name I gave to a talk I gave at Cornell last June - and it's stuck. My EPSC 2008 paper had the same title, and tying together my IYA podcast and TPR article seemed a bit of a cop-out, but it worked.
And - for those that can make it - 4.45pm, Tuesday March 17th, at the Von Karman Auditorium - I'm giving a 1hr talk on the same theme, to the Caltech Mang. Assoc - which is open to the public. If people want more details - djellison (AT) mac.com - I'll fwd the CMA's advert.
Thanks for the kind words TB, the hard work is down to the regular imaging gurus on the forum, I just keep the loonies out. ;)
