Space/Science

How wrong we were !

Where facts have an annoying tendency to shatter our dreams....

Astronautics was supposed to just follow aeronautics (2 french words, BTW).....But it's really a very different matter !

Space was the place to conquer as it was full of heavenly bodies to discover and visit....
When astronauts really went to space, they saw no star (drowned under the sunlit worlds and objects) but they saw...the EARTH as never before and as never depicted by any SF writer , before....

The 3 Apollo astronauts who spacewalked between the Moon and the Earth have no special urge to talk about it, compared to astronauts who moonwalked or spacewalked in LEO...

Reusable winged spacecrafts have not shown their promised future....We're back to small capsules (and there are very valid reasons for that).

When Mars was first approached , it revealed a very very thin atmosphere and like the Moon, craters....Never has Mars reached the hopes it inspired before the camera came close by.

Processors are getting better and better much faster than rocket engines.....humans are soon to be cought up by machines in terms of Megabytes per second data being sensed.

Not a single world is like another....Everyone is different.....

Perhaps, things are more complicated for those who want to find life, but things are far more promising for those who wait for the next unanswered questions to ask !
