My new mantra

Robots for space exploration.

Humans for space colonization, with exploration thrown in as the
settlements are established.

Eventually this will all merge (or the machines will just take over), but
if we do want to see more data pouring in from other worlds in the near
future, mechanical space probes are the way to go.
