To my regret, I've become deeply suspicious
To deliberately misrepresent one's own "evidence" is a fast-track to loss of credibility, of course, but I'm not sure conservatives are concerned about such trivialities anymore. All that matters is "the win."
It's makes it very difficult to extend trust to conservatives--which is a crappy situation. It's depressing to come to the realization that the best one can hope for from the right is artful deception.
