Inflation
I'm really rusty on all of this. Our reserve requirement is 10%. This means that the money multiplier is 10. If this is correct, then the cash infusion amounts to 12 trillion dollars. Before the "cash schlump", the money supply was 8.3 trillion.
Inflation will come from a 150% increase in the amount of dollars chasing the same amount of goods. I'm not sure but it may amount to an increase in the quantity of goods demanded which will only be supplied at a higher price, which could cause a wage/price spiral?
The basic question is, at what point do we see cash in wheelbarrows?
