Frontline and Nova for Tuesday, March 24, 2009 helped one realize what an asylum the US has become.

Those who deny man-caused global warming and those who insist on huge government, low taxes and massive spending certainly are stark, raving nuts. They are all around us.

Asteroids, comets, nuclear weapons, terrorists, name a threat to humanity. They are nothing compared to the American Conservative. Their policies have led to a worldwide economic crisis, environmental crisis and and fueled religious and political tensions. Why spend money on dangers such as some if-come-maybe asteroid when there is the sure and certain disasters in real-time here and now?

Really.

The only good point is that they have destroyed their only weapon, the US economy and the US middle class. Soon they will be powerless, the paper tiger the Chinese described.

The losers are the American people and the people of the world. The winners - the super-wealthy multinational individuals and corporations.

Conservatives don't read books. I don't think they'll watch these TV shows, either.
