He died mid 70's and he always talked around this time about being captured by the Jerrys on Good Friday 1945 and for a week and a half was a "guest " of 45 Waffen SS until the town was liberated by Patton, Him and the Capt he was with beat the CRAP outa the Burgamiester of the town for making them miss EASTER Sunday wrecking their Jeep on a mail run, and the Dept of War sending his Mom a telegram saying their son was MIA
