One doesn't abrogate the Geneva Conventions, set up secret prisons, create a Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib, fly folks around to Syria, Egypt and other countries unless they are involved in torture. Which started from the top.
This is one where the only defense is American military power. The "might makes right" school of thought.
And it's always done in the name of "Homeland Security". Stalin did it for that reason, Hitler too, Saddam, they all used the same excuse. If a nation or person cannot hold onto it's principles when the going gets rough, they do no have principles.
