Communicating by chemicals
I recall an old biology book where the experimenter had a group of ants
follow each other by their scent alone (I think they were naturally blind).
The lead ants were put into a circle tank and the rest of the group just
followed them around until they literally dropped dead.
Nope, not gonna make any analogies here.
