Despite your opinion, you are wrong in that I have some sort of interest in Ares V. You can see on other forums where I am infact quite against the current constellation architecture. Ditto if you scroll back to 2006 with some blog reporting about Ares 1 from the IAC in Valencia. I am NOT an Ares fan. Direct does seem a more sensible, flexible and fiscally responsible approach.
However - your opposition to SRB's in this place has been so astonishingly vitriolic, I fail to see how you can maintain that stance on one hand, yet support ISS trips that require twice as many of them on the other.
In your unique sky-is-falling way, you have so vehemently argued AGAINST SRB's - is it not an untenable situation for you now to be lobbying FOR them.
This isn't about the architecture (which makes more sense than Constellation - on that we agree) - this is about the contradiction you are making.
