Russian engineering

The Russians seem to come up with rather robust designs, easy to manufacture and durable. At least that seems to be their history with fighter planes, theirs able to operate from rather poor airstrips and fly on French perfume if they have to. The Soyuz seems to be another example of functionality over style.

Here's hoping they can afford to manufacture a real "truck" for LEO, ISS and Moon missions, and available for assembly of whatever goes to Mars. Somehow I'd trust a philosophy which is based upon the design working rather than one designed to maximize profit.
