Like Colbert or not
He has done more than NASA to promote an aspect of their own space station to
the general public.
Colbert is clearly more interested and knowledgable about space than any other talk
show host since Johnny Carson, who was a genuine amateur astronomer, a board
member of The Planetary Society, and helped to make Carl Sagan a well-known
figure, which in turn did a lot for getting science to the public.
I don't know how much longer Colbert's schtick will last, but unlike so many of the
others he has actual scientists and astronauts on the program, such as Steve Squyres.
