Doin' my bit for the economy
I broke down today and treated myself to two CDs I've been hearing some good things about. I went for a long walk tonight with my Walkman and listened to them. I was not disappointed.
I highly recommend the always surprising, but never disappointing, James Taylor's "Covers" and the totally unexpected and unbelievably delightful collaboration of ex-Led Zeppelin front man Robert Plant and Bluegrass sweetheart Alison Kraus: "Raising Sand".
The country may be in a death spiral, but rock and roll has never sounded better.
