Current Events » in reply to Think Bush should have honored his commitment to Afghanistan?

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Seriously. It's like listening to Johannes talk thermodynamics. With the calculations.

You spout constantly about how evil the military is for bombing terrorists, killing people and damaging property, yet AT THE SAME TIME Bush is berated for failing to obliterate the Taliban not only in Afghanistan, but magically in Pakistan as well. I doubt you even remember your posts complaining about Bush (and Obama) bombing terror enclaves in Pakistan, which is probably the maximum action that is even possible to take in that country, and always has been. Certainly you don't remember your many posts telling us we should never have gone into Afghanistan in the first place.

You demand victory without war and war without cost. You talk about "hearts and minds," ignoring years of efforts in that area, and the immunity of fanatics to this approach.

You have made statements that collide with each other, with reality, and with common sense. They don't connect in any way when combined. It's like that kit you get where you make poems by sticking magnetic words at random on the refrigerator.

I can't even figure out your worldview, much less argue with it.

You obviously believe there is some nebulous "action," not involving violence or warfare, that had Bush taken it, would have eliminated the Taliban, drug trade, corruption, and all the other issues that have plagued Afghanistan for years. Maybe he was supposed to teleport a multi-dimensional squid into Kabul to teach everyone a lesson about peace.
