My opinion of Martha Stewart couldn't have been much lower. Not only ethically challenged as a businesswoman, she is a reported bitch in her private life, allegedly abusive toward employees and underlings.

However, after her conviction and sentencing she went to jail. She didn't drag that out until after every possible appeal, didn't stall, postpone and delay, but just trotted off to the slam. OK, it was a very nice slam, but still that's where she was sentenced. While in jail she didn't find God, she didn't promise to spend the rest of her life helping starving kids in Somali, she just went to jail.

When she came out she resumed her business, and seems to be doing well.

I have to say I rather admire her. There is at least a part of her which is responsible.
