It seems to be mild, as I expected. Sniffles, sore throat, chest congestion. A slower moving flu than many. I think this hit the state three weeks ago and folks are now just noticing. The schools already passed it around - as they always do. The kids take it home and suddenly everyone in the community is exposed.
This is not a bad thing. Nature, in its infinite wisdom, exposes everyone to it early so that everyone develops immunity. If everyone were isolated - evolved forms of the virus would have stronger reactions on a populace living in a bubble.
Avoiding people is impossible unless you are a hermit with a pre-purchased food supply. The virus will still exist 6 months from now so one can never hide from it forever. It's probably easier on those who get infected now and will afford them immunity from evolved forms of the virus.
It's like updating your anti-virus software witrh new definitions. If you don't update you will be vulnerable.

It's here in big quantities - and mild.
