Noah Scalin's exercise in multimedia art on a single theme, the portrayal of skulls, continued for 366 consecutive days. He recorded all his works at http://www.skulladay.blogspot.com/, where he continues to post the contributions of other skullptors. After the weirdness factor wears off, they are ingenious, and many are quite beautiful.
These are some of my favorites:
"United Skull of America", without AK & HI
"The Cutest Skull ...Ever!" (Cuteness factors: baby animals, preferably kittens; Japanese cartoons; pink; rounded corners)
"Baby Toy Skull, aka Baby's First Death's Head"
He also has done a flow chart skull tracing the process of making a skull a day. (Do you want to make a skull? Y/N) But I don't remember the name for it, so you'll have to find it yourselves.
Numbskull? Not hardly.
