The "stimulus" bill alone exceeded the entire cumulative cost of the war in Iraq to date.
The entire cost to date of the war in Afghanistan and Iraq combined since 2001 would pay for social entitlement programs for all of seven months.
The deficit for this year alone exceeds the entire amount of all the years of the Bush tax cuts so far (about $1.4 trillion kept out of the maw of the government).
War and tax cuts aren't the problem here.
