"What the public was told was usually just the opposite of what was happening."
"Behind Closed Doors" - "As the greatest war in history raged three men would decide the fate of the world."
An absolutely fascinating history of the negotiations between Rooseveldt, Churchill and Stalin. I've read countless books on these conferences and there is a lot of material in here I didn't know. This series isn't just the rememberances of one person at a time but coorelates what is going on in the meetings with what is happening in the war.
A great view, and worth going over the PBS website. The "quote" in the subject like of this post is as close as I can remember it from the program. There's a lesson in that.
