Clarification.
My clear choice is: "we've just run out of easy discoveries and have all the basic stuff figured out and that from now on future progess in fundamental physics will be much harder and slower."
However, Astronomy is still moving forward at a rapid pace, in fact its fastest pace ever, along with ALL of the branches of Physics except theory of fundamental processes (particle physics).
