One where the participants do not even realize they are involved. These are the sources of most of what's wrong with the world. Most people do not think of themselves as evil, they are always ready to justify themselves and their actions as good, and best for everyone. The fact that they will tend to personally benefit from these actions they do not see as their major motivation in supporting such actions.
How many wars and other conflicts have occurred where both sides have convinced themselves of the righteousness of their cause and the evil of their enemies? Common sense will tell you only one side can be right in holding such an opinion, and history has shown us that sometimes neither is. And even when there is clear consensus that the conflict was between good and evil, and that it had to faught until the evil side was vanquished, we can always find evil among the winners and good among the losers. And the majority of the victims, of course, are always innocent.
There isn't much we can do about this, it's the way of the world, and even knowing this doesn't mean that sometimes we have to take sides and even commit evil acts in order for good to triumph. And if we're honest we can never know for sure if we were truly right, or just self-serving. The ability and necessity to make hard choices is what honor and courage are all about. If the answers were that obvious then no one would pick the wrong side, and we would all be heroes.
It is those who are never troubled by these choices, who know they are always right and their rivals must be wrong, and that that knowledge justifies them in doing whatever it takes to prevail, who are the true villains, no matter on whose side they are on.
