Current Events » in reply to United Nations update

A modest suggestion. Be it resolved:

Given there are some in the US who are quite uneasy with other's right to an opinion if it differs with theirs, and given there is anarchy in the world with all manner of people having all manner of opinions, beliefs, and thoughts, and given the peace and tranquility of the world would be enhanced with uniformity in all things to the standard set by MacDonalds, Burger King and Starbucks, be it resolved:

That the United States introduce a resolution into the UN that all nations should attempt to arrive an a reconcilliation of differences in the interests of harmony, cooperation and free and easy commerce.

Then, the US use that resolution to invade Mexico, doing so in the interests of peace, harmony, tranquility, etc. Leaflets in English will be distributed telling the former Mexicans what to think and how to think it. Rush Limbaugh Enterprises has graciously consented to produce and write these for a small shipping and handling fee.

Then, the US, with troops recruited from Mexico and given the requisite 4 days training, as opposed to 4 years required elsewhere, will invade Canada. In the interest of unifying North America, a form of Manifest Destiny.

After that, seeing that peace and free and easy commerce would be greatly enhanced with the inclusion of the rest of the hemisphere, Central America and South America will be "invited" to join the new Expanded United States. Excepting Cuba, which will accept the political refugees from the rest of Latin America. Then Cuba can be nuked.

After that, with the assistance of a couple of nuclear weapons, Japan can be added to those who will aid in the effort of reducing world tensions. Again, the new paradigm will be written in English, so as to better aid them in their transition from chaos to reason.

And so on. By now there is far, far less dissension, with much of the world agreeing on everything. "Dittohead" will be reality.

I believe there is enough there to start, and that after the resolution we can effectively do away with the UN.

Unless, of course, a Conservative is elected Commander-in-Chief. In that case we'll be bogged down in northern Mexico for the next 50 years.
